YOCO
Yoco – Arabic Brand Adaptation for Egypt
Yoco is a leading South African fintech company providing integrated point-of-sale (POS) and payment solutions designed for small and medium-sized businesses. As the company expanded into Egypt, we were tasked with adapting the Yoco brand into an Arabic-driven identity that could resonate authentically with the local market.
At its core, Yoco exists to create opportunities for the underserved and the self-employed. As an African technology company, its mission is to empower entrepreneurs to get paid easily and faster than ever, removing barriers that prevent small businesses from growing. Beyond fintech, Yoco aspires to help build a future where independent businesses thrive.
Our approach centered on a human-first localization strategy, ensuring the brand felt both accessible and culturally relevant. The adaptation balanced Yoco’s bold, confident identity with a more inclusive and conversational tone suited for Arabic-speaking audiences.
This included the development of an Arabic logo and typography system, alongside a localized visual and verbal language. A relevant photography style, inclusive tone of voice, and culturally adapted messaging helped maintain brand consistency while strengthening emotional connection with the market.
The system was applied across multiple touchpoints, including an Arabic website, communication templates, packaging, and branded materials, creating a cohesive brand experience tailored to Egypt while staying true to Yoco’s core identity.
